Minami-za, Kyoto

Minami-za is the main, and oldest, kabuzi theatre in Kyoto, Japan. Located in the Gion district, it was established in 1610.

The current building of the Minami-za dates back to 1929. It is capable to accommodating 1,086 people at one time.
