Tatsumi Daimyo-jin is a small shrine at the eastern end of the
Shinbashi, in the
Gion district of Kyoto.
What makes it so special - or a point of curiosity - for visitors is that you can find, plastered on the red wall of the shrine, the business cards of Gion geishas, hostesses, restaurant owners, and others. You see, these are the people who have come here to pray for prosperity, and left their business cards as a reminder to the gods.
