Minamisoma (Japanese: 南相馬市) is a city on the northeastern coast of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. Covering 398 sq km (154 sq mi), it has a population of 69,000 people (2012 estimate). The city was created in 2006 by merging the former towns of Haramachi, Odaka and Kashima.

The 2011 Tohoku Earthquake caused severe damage to Minamisoma, with some 400 people confirmed dead and 1,100 still recorded as missing. As it is 25 km (16 mi) from the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant, it was also within the mandated evacuation zone that required all residents to leave.
