Hino (Japanese: 日野市) is a city in the center of the Tokyo Metropolis in Japan. It covers 27.53 sq km (10.63 sq mi) and has a population of 182,000 people (2012 estimate). The
municipalities surrounding it include
Fuchu, Kunitachi,
Tachikawa,
Akishima,
Hachioji and
Tama.
As with many of the surrounding municipalities, today Hino serves as a bedroom community for people working in central Tokyo. It is home to Hino Motors, a subsidiary of Toyota producing trucks and buses.

Going to Hino
Hino is served by a number of train lines including the JR East Chūō Main Line (stations: Hino and Toyoda), Keio Corporation's Keiō Line (stations: Mogusaen, Takahatafudō, Minamidaira, Hirayamajōshi-kōen) and Keiō Dōbutsuen Line (Takahatafudō and Tama-Dōbutsukōen stations) and the Tama Toshi Monorial Line (Kōshū-Kaidō, Manganji, Takahatafudō, Hodokubo and Tama-Dōbutsukōen stations).
