Inagi (Japanese: 稲城市) is a city in the southern part of
Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. It covers 17.97 sq km (6.94 sq mi) and has a population of 82,000 people (2012 estimate).
The city of Inagi dates back to 1889, when Inagi village was founded. It was given city status in 1957 and city status in 1971.
