Suginami (杉並区) is a special ward of Tokyo Metropolis located to the west of downtown Tokyo. Called Suginami City in English, it covers 34.02 sq km (13.1 sq mi) and has a population of 540,000 (2011 estimate).

Suginami is bordered by
Nerima to the north,
Nakano to the east,
Shibuya to the southeast,
Setagaya to the south, Mitaka to the southwest, and Musashino to the west. The Kanda river flows through the ward while the Zenpukuji river and Myoshoji river originates within the ward. The ward was created in 1947 when Tokyo Metropolis was established.
How to go to Suginami
The
Marunouchi Line of the Tokyo Metro is the only subway line serving Suginami, stopping at Higashi Koenji (M-04), Shin-Koenji (M-03), Minami Asagaya (M-02) and Ogikubo (M-01) Subway Stations.
