Toyota (Japanese: 豊田市) is today the second largest city in
Aichi Prefecture after
Nagoya.
Toyota is home to the main plant of the automotive giant, Toyota Motor Corporation. The city covers 918 sq km (355 sq mi) and has a population of 423,000 people (2012 estimate). Despite its importance as the home city of Toyota Motors, it is also the largest city in Japan without a railway station.
