Jesselton Heights (GPS: 5.42234, 100.30045) is the filet mignon of Penang real estate. This choicest cut of land is located to the west of Jalan Utama (formerly Western Road). It occupies land that was once a quarry. Thereafter the government used it as quarters for senior executives. By the 1970's, captains of local industries have moved in to build their mansions in Jesselton Heights.

Located next door to the Penang Turf Club Jesselton Heights is a leafy neighbourhood that offer those who can afford it the serenity and seclusion. Sentry is posted at the entries on Jesselton Road so that access can be controlled between midnight and 6:00 am daily.

The main road into the Jesselton Heights area is Jalan Jesselton. Making right angles to it are Lengkok Jesselton and Solok Jesselton. Most of the properties in this neighbourhood are detached bungalows, many dating to the 1970's and 80's, and have been renovated repeatedly by the occupants to keep with times.
