Julia Volchkova Murals in George Town

Julia Volchkova Murals (4 December 2015)

Julia Volchkova is a Russian artist from Saint Petersburg, Russia. Since early 2014, she has been working on street murals in George Town, and is slowly gaining notice in the city.

As at time of writing (June 2014), Volchkova has completed two murals for the city. The first is located on a wall near the Prangin Canal, while the second is at Klang Street. Both of these murals showcase her remarkable talent at capturing human expression. Volchkova's portraitures are ultra realistic, almost like a facsimile of the photographs on which they are based.

I am very pleased that this Russian artist has added her murals to our walls and hope to see more of her future works.
