Kassim Nasi Kandar, Magazine Road, George Town, Penang (11 November 2021)
Kassim Nasi Kandar (GPS: 5.41374, 100.32914) is a popular nasi kandar stall in George Town, Penang. The stall has been around for a long time, at least a couple of decades, for I do remember eating here on the day GAMA first opened. It has operated in various locations close to one another, including Brick Kiln Road and Dato Kramat Road, and as of September 2018, is located in a shophouse at Magazine Road. The shop is open every day from 7:30am to 8:30pm.
The last time I went there to eat was in 2013. It has changed from what I remembered it. Now it felt more like the 24-hour stalls, and not like the nasi kandar stall of old. Perhaps that's the direction that most nasi kandar stalls are heading. I am very glad however, that when it moved again to Magazine Road in 2018, the old ambience was back.

Dec 2015: Kassim Nasi Kandar relocated from its premises on Brick Kiln Road to occupy the premises of the former Craven Cafe on Dato Kramat Road.

Getting there
You can walk to Kassim Nasi Kandar from the Komtar Bus Terminal. Take Jalan Ria until Magazine Road. Cross Magazine Road and walk heading west till Magazine Circus, then continue on Brick Kiln Road until you see the stall on your left.
