Kedai Kopi Soon Yuen, Kuala Kangsar Road (25 January 2013)
Kedai Kopi Soon Yuen (GPS: 5.41748, 100.33238) is a small Chinese coffee shop in George Town, Penang. It is located along Kuala Kangsar Road, and is part of the shops within the Chowrasta Market area. As with other coffee shops in the area, Kedai Kopi Soon Yuen is busiest in the morning, when the market is in full swing. During this time, the entire stretch of Kuala Kangsar Road becomes impassable to vehicular traffic, as the hawkers erect their parasols all along the way.
Kedai Kopi Soon Yuen has a popular koay teow thng stall. In addition, other items available here include the chee cheong fun, beansprout chicken and wan tan mee.
Getting there
From the Chowrasta Market bus stop along Penang Road, walk along Chowrasta Road until you reach Kuala Kangsar Road. Look across the road, and you will see Kedai Kopi Sooon Yuen next to Ping Kee Pork Shop.
