Da Yuen Fo Tang, Kek Lok Hiang Temple, Macalister Road (7 December 2009)
Kek Lok Hiang (GPS: 5.41734, 100.32229), which means Hamlet of Eternal Bliss, is a Chinese temple complex along Macalister Road. It was established in the late 19th century and was laid out in a courtyard with auxiliary shrines to the side.
The main temple within Kek Lok Hiang is known as Da Yuen Fo Tang (Traditional Chinese: 大圓佛堂, Simplified Chinese: 大圆佛堂). It has a main entrance with two smaller entrances one on each side. To the left of Da Yuen Fo Tang is a smaller temple, Da Shen Fo Tang.
Access to Kek Lok Hiang is through two main entrances. Both have ornate gateway arches.

Getting there
Kek Lok Hiang (Da Yuen Fo Tang) is located along Macalister Road, between the junctions of Anson Road and Aboo Sittee Lane. There is a bus stop in the vicinity. It is served by Rapid Penang bus 101, 102, 103, 104 and 304.
