Kek Lok Si Columbarium, Air Itam (11 October 2008)


The Kek Lok Si Columbarium is a 4-storey structure with a traditional Chinese roof. It has niches where the remains of the departed can be kept in funerary urns. The columbarium is located a short distance to the south of the Kek Lok Si Temple complex, on the route towards Cheng Kon Sze Temple.

Getting there

The Kek Lok Si Columbarium has to be reached by car. From Air Itam Village, take Jalan Balik Pulau (the road towards the Air Itam Dam). Turn in to Kek Lok Si at the second archway. This leads to a driveway behind the Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas. It continues under the viaduct of the Inclined Lift. Continue on this road until you reach the columbarium on your left.
