Kopi-O Sculpture, Kimberley Street, George Town (11 May 2013)


Kopi-O (GPS: 5.41749, 100.33097) is one of the steel-rod sculptures in George Town, Penang, based on caricature by cartoonist Tang Mun Kian. The sculpture is mounted on the wall of a shop facing Kimberley Street, at its junction with Penang Road.

The "Kopi-O" Sculpture provides an amusing take on how the lingo of the young generation is translated into something that has been around for ages. In this case, "One tall double-shot decaf expresso" comes out as "kopi-o kau!"
