Kuala Kangsar Road (20 May 2012)


Jalan Kuala Kangsar, formerly Kuala Kangsar Road, is a road in George Town, Penang. It is best known as the market street behind Chowrasta Market. Kuala Kangsar Road runs from Prangin Road (Jalan Dr Lim Chwee Leong) to Campbell Street. The road was named after Kuala Kangsar, the royal town of Perak.

Kuala Kangsar Road used to have a steel-road sculpture entitled "Labourer to Trader". It was on the wall of the Chowrasta Market. The sculpture was removed when the market underwent renovations.

Getting there

Take the Free Rapid Penang Shuttle Bus to Bus Stop No. 13 (Komtar Timur) and walk a short distance along Prangin Road until you reach the junction of Kuala Kangsar Road on the right.
