The sim and stupa of Wat Phonesaat.
Wat Phonesaat, also written
Wat Saat or in full
Wat Phonesa-ath Phathiyamoungkhoun, is a small Laotian monastery in
Luang Prabang. It is located on the opposite bank of the Nam Khan river from town.
What is great about Wat Phonesaat is the view. From here, you can see almost the whole of Luang Prabang. At Phonesaat are a few novice monks sitting on the grass reading their scripture books. They are in just about the most panoramic spot in the town, if they are aware of it.
