Lavender Park is a low-medium-cost apartment off Perak Lane in the Jelutong part of George Town, Penang. It is also called Taman Sinar Pelangi. Built on freehold land and was completed in January 2011, it comprises 287 units on a single 8-storey block. Each unit has a built-up area of 697 sqft and has three bedrooms.
Facilities at Lavender Park
Facilities include 24-hour security, communal parking space, general landscaping, maintenance, and CCTV system, among others.
Lavender Park is just 4.6 km from Komtar. However it is located in a densely populated part of George Town. As the surrounding kampung houses make way for development, the neighbourhood is expected to get even more congested. Having said that, parts of Jelutong Road is undergoing widening (though not sure whether this will cover the entire stretch). In the meanwhile, Perak Road remains narrow and traffic there slow moving.
Traffic situation at Lavender Park
Traffic is quite heavy along Perak Lane, particularly during rush hour, with queues often building up at both the Perak Road and Jalan Jelutong junctions.

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
