Lebuh Bukit Jambul, PenangLebuh Bukit Jambul, Penang (27 March 2013)

Lebuh Bukit Jambul is a hill road in Bukit Jambul, Penang. It was created in the late 1970s when the hillside area was developed. Intended as an upscale neighbourhood similar to Jesselton Heights, parcels of land on Lebuh Bukit Jambul were sold off on 99-year lease for the construction of mansions. There are a number of these two to three-storey bungalows lining Lebuh Bukit Jambul.

The mansions along Lebuh Bukit Jambul enjoy an expansive panorama of the Bayan Lepas lowlands below, but with increased traffic along the road, they also receive their fair share of noise and dust. As a result, a few of these bungalows have either been vacated or been readapted for commercial use.

By the mid 1980s, Lebuh Bukit Jambul was extended west. It now ends just beyond Tingkat Bukit Jambul. On 15 January 2016, a project to extend Jalan Bukit Kukus commenced. This project will link Lebuh Bukit Jambul to Jalan Bukit Kukus, providing for an alternative parallel road to Jalan Paya Terubong. A few roads branch out from Lebuh Bukit Jambul including Solok Bukit Jambul 1, Lintang Bukit Jambul, Lengkok Bukit Jambul, Persiaran Bukit Jambul, Lintang Bukit Jambul 2, Jalan Bukit Kukus, Lorong Bukit Jambul and Tingkat Bukit Jambul.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
