Leong Boey Kong 龍尾宮, Paya Terubong

[an error occurred while processing this directive] Leong Boey Kong (GPS: 5.36811, 100.27509; Traditional Chinese: 龍尾宮; Simplified Chinese: 龙尾宫 Pinyin: Lóng Wěi Gōng) is a Tua Pek Kong temple at the foot of the hills in Paya Terubong, Penang. Established in 1975, it is commonly known as the Paya Terubong Tua Pek Kong Temple. it is open daily from 7:00 am in the morning to 6:00 pm in the evening.

The principal deity here is the Tua Pek Kong, officially known here as Fu De Zheng Shen (福德正神). Subordinate deities of the temple include the Kuan Yin (觀音, Guan Yin), the Dato Kong (哪啅公, Na Du Gong) and Hor Yah Kong (虎爺公, Hu Ye Gong). The temple celebrates the feast days of the Fu De Zheng Shen on the first day of the 2nd month. It also celebrates its anniversary festival on the 24th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar.

How to reach the Leong Boey Kong Temple

The nearest bus routes are Rapid Penang Bus 201 and 202. However neither of these reach right in front of the temple, so you may have to walk a bit when the bus reaches Tingkat Paya Terubong 4.
