Our Homemade Loaf (5 November 2016)

Our Homemade LoafOur Homemade Loaf (5 November 2016)

Today my wife decided to bake a loaf of bread for our breakfast tomorrow. For today's bread, she adds raisin, cranberries, walnut, sunflower seed, almond strips and a bit of shredded carrots, to give it an orangy colour. She uses a breadmaker to knead the dough, which is left to prove while we went to the market. On our return, she deflated the dough to release the air. It is then rolled before putting into the loaf pan, and baked in the oven at 175°C for about an hour (this is dependent on different ovens, so you need to get to know your own oven to determine the exact temperature).

Tomorrow, we shall make toasts out of this loaf of bread, which we shall eat with half-boiled eggs, Swiss cheese, and perhaps some peanut butter.
