Understanding each locality is vital in making informed decision when planning to purchase Penang real estate. To start, the map below shows the various localities in Penang. These localities do not follow actual administrative divisions but are based on generally recognised geographic locations.

Ayer Itam

Located on the central part of Penang Island, Ayer Itam covers a large area to the immediate west of George Town.

Occupying the west coast of Penang Island, Balik Pulau was the rural half of the island, but now sees the increasing housing development.
