Lorong Khoo Hye Keat, Air Itam, Penang (18 January 2013)


Lorong Khoo Hye Keat is a road in the Hye Keat Estate neighbourhood of Air Itam, Penang. Although it is not the access road into the working-class housing estate, Lorong Khoo Hye Keat can be considered the main thoroughfare, as it is the road to most of the houses in the area.

Lorong Khoo Hye Keat connects with Jalan Khoo Hye Keat on one end. In the past decade, the road has seen some residential development. Unlike the houses closer to the Jalan Khoo Hye Keat junction, the recent development is of a more upscale nature, in keeping with the increase in land prices thoughout Penang Island.

The main branch off Lorong Khoo Hye Keat is Persiaran Taman Cantik, which continues to the Taman Cantik housing estate. This area has also seen some upscale residential development lately.
