Lorong Kulit Flea Market (GPS: 5.41211, 100.31344) is the biggest flea market in Penang, and the only one that operates daily. It is located on the open ground between the entrance to the City Stadium and the bus depot for Rapid Penang.

The Lorong Kulit Flea Market has been operating for the past decade. Before that, the traders were plying their wares in places such as Rope Walk, but was relocated here to ease congestion there. Since then, there has been discussions that the flea market may have to move again, as they are on the path of the ambulances heading towards the Penang General Hospital.

The Lorong Kulit Flea Market is a good place to look for second hand items. There is no telling what you can come across here. One thing is sure: you have to plow through mountains of rubble to find the gem. In the same sense, you have to look hard to find something of great value. Nonetheless it attracts shoppers and collectors of memorabilia and othe collectables.
