Damansara-Puchong Expressway (17 June, 2017)
Damansara-Puchong Expressway, also called
Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong, or
LDP, is a major expressway in the Klang Valley. It runs roughly north-south over a distance of 40 kilometers, beginning in the north at the junction with Jalan Kuala Selangor, and ending in the south at the interchange with Persiaran Alpinia.
Construction of the LDP began on 23 April, 1996, and the first portion of the expressway was opened to traffic on 25 January, 1999. Since then, it has undergone a number of upgrades, such as the construction of the rank linking it to the Bukit Jalil Highway, completed in 2005, and the Kelana Jaya Interchange, which was completed in 2007.
Since October, 2015, the toll for using the Damansara-Puchong Expressway is RM2.10 each way for passenger cars (vehicles with 2 axles and 3-4 wheels), RM1.10 for taxis, RM1.80 for buses, RM4.20 for trucks with 5-6 wheels and RM6.30 for large trucks with 3 or more axles. Motorcyles use the expressway for free.
