E12: Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH)
Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway is a 7.7-kilometer elevated highway in
Kuala Lumpur. It connects
Ampang in Selangor with Kuala Lumpur. For much of the route, the highway straddles the
Klang River. The highway construction began in 1996, and it was opened to the public in 2001.
As of 15 October, 2015, the toll for using the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway is RM2.50 for private cars, RM7.00 for vans and small lorries, RM10.50 for large lorries with 3 or more axles, RM1.80 for taxis and RM1.50 for buses. Toll has to be paid for passing through the toll gate in both directions. The toll charges are now completely cashless, and has to be paid using the Touch 'n Go or SmartTAG.

Exit 1201
Exit 1201 is the easternmost exit/entrance to the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway. There is Exit 1201A to
Jalan Ampang and Exit 1201B to
Jalan Sultan Ismail. There are also two entrances to the highway, one at Jalan Sultan Ismail while the other at
Jalan Raja Abdullah.
Exit 1202: Jalan Tun Razak Interchange
Exit 1202 is the interchange with
Jalan Tun Razak. You can enter the highway from either direction of Jalan Tun Razak to head east, not west towards
Jalan Sultan Ismail. From the highway, eastbound vehicles can exit to Jalan Tun Razak bearing north, not south, while westbound vehicles can exit bearing south, and via an elevated U-turn, bearing north as well.
Toll Plaza
Toll plaza spanning both sides of the highway, so users have to pay toll on both directions.
Exit 1203: Jalan Jelatek Interchange
You can exit the expressway to Jalan Jelatek if you are eastbound. There is no exit ramp if you are westbound. From Jalan Jelatek, you can enter the expressway northbound and southbound. A new ramp is being constructed here to connect the elevated highway to the
Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (E39).
Exit 1204: MRR2 Interchange
Eastbound traffic on the elevated highway can exit to the
Middle Ring Road 2 northbound (taking Exit 1204B), but not southbound. Both northbound and southbound traffic on the MRR2 can enter the elevated highway westbound but not eastbound.
Exit 1204A: MRR2 Interchange
Eastbound traffic on the elevated highway can exit to Jalan Kerja Ayer Lama eastbound, taking Exit 1204A. Both northbound and southbound traffic on the MRR2 can enter the elevated highway westbound but not eastbound.
