Maju Expressway is the expressway between
Kuala Lumpur and the
Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It is also known by its acronym
MEX, and by the expressway code
E20. The expressway is also called
Lebuhraya Kuala Lumpur-Putrajaya or
Kuala Lumpur-Putrajaya Expressway, but the name is not completely accurate, as the expressway ends at
Cyberjaya.
Construction of the Maju Expressway began in 2004, and it was completed in 2007. It has a length of 26 kilometers (16.2 miles). Toll is collected at the Salak South, Seri Kembangan and Putrajaya toll plazas. Since 13 January, 2016, toll collection is cashless, using only Touch 'n Go or SmartTAGs.
Toll at the Putrajaya Toll Plaza is RM3.50 for private cars, RM7.00 for vans and small lorries, RM10.50 for large lorries with 3 or more axles, RM1.80 for taxis and RM2.50 for buses. Toll at the Seri Kembangan Toll Plaza is RM2.20 for private cars, RM4.40 for vans and small lorries, RM6.60 for large lorries with 3 or more axles, RM1.10 for taxis and RM2.20 for buses.
