E22: Senai-Desaru Expressway

Senai-Desaru ExpresswaySenai-Desaru Expressway (13 September, 2016)


Senai-Desaru Expressway, or Lebuhraya Senai-Desaru, is a 77-kilometer expressway in Johor. It carries the expressway code of E22. Completed and opened to the public on 10 June, 2011, it connects Senai, to the west of Johor Bahru, to Desaru, on the east coast of Johor. Kilometer Zero of this expressway is calculated from the Senai Main Interchange at Senai.

Senai-Desaru Expressway has two lanes in each direction. It is the alternative route to using the Federal Routes 3 and 92 to reach Desaru, a journey taking around 2.5 hours. The expressway includes the 1.7-kilometer Sungai Johor Bridge, which is the second longest river bridge in the country, after the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Bridge in Perak.
