E27: East Klang Valley Expressway EKVE (14 January 2010)
East Klang Valley Expressway is an expressway on the eastern side of the Klang Valley. At time of writing (October 2022), the expressway is still under construction. It will eventually connect Jalan Ukay Perdana and the
Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (Federal Route 28) in the north to the
SILK Expressway (Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway E18) in the south, over a total distance of 39.5 kilometres.
The East Klang Valley Expressway is controversial in its construction. Flash floods happening along its route have been blamed to its contruction. The original route has also been revised to avoid the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge. The expressway will include at 200-metre tunnel and will have six toll plazas.
As this expressway is still under contruction, some details are not yet available. I will continue to update this page progressively.
