Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (E33) is an expressway on the northern part of Kuala Lumpur. Often called the DUKE Expressway, this 18-kilometer expressway completed in 2009 connects the North-South Expressway Northern Route in the west with the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 in Ulu Klang. The completion of this expressway takes some load off the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 1 and the Kuala Lumpur Inner Ring Road.

The section between the interchange of Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim and the North-South Expressway Northern Route is often called the Lebuhraya Jalan Duta-Sungai Buloh, but can be considered part of the DUKE Expressway.

The DUKE Expressway operates on the open toll system. That means there is a fixed toll when vehicles pass through the toll plaza. The amount charged is based on the class of vehicle. As of 15 October 2015, the toll is RM2.50 for private cars, RM3.80 for vans and small lorries, RM5.00 for large lorries with 3 or more axles, RM1.30 for taxis and RM1.30 for buses. Since 9 September, 2015, toll on this expressway is cashless and has to be paid using either the Touch 'n Go or SmartTAG.

About this website

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.

While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
