Pantai Minyak Beku, Batu Pahat (12 September, 2016)


Pantai Minyak Beku (GPS: 1.7951, 102.88796) is a seaside area in Batu Pahat, Johor. It is located about 10km to the south of town, near the mouth of Sungai Batu Pahat. Its name means "Beach of the Coagulated Oil", and possibly goes back to when oil was seen on the beach.

Also at Pantai Minyak Beku is the Batu Pahat Well, which I will describe separately.

Today Pantai Minyak Beku is a popular picnic area for the locals. There is a car park, with facilities such as toilet and eateries.
