Kota Iskandar, Johor (15 September, 2016)
Kota Iskandar (GPS: 1.42224, 103.64825) is the state and federal government office complex in
Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The entire area was once called Nusajaya, but nowadays the name Nusajaya is often used only to mean the Kota Iskandar administrative neighbourhood. Kota Iskandar was named after the Sultan of Johor, the late
Sultan Iskandar.
Built in a similar fashion to
Putrajaya, Kota Iskandar will house the Chief Minister Complex and other government buildings, all aligned to face the kiblat, the direction of the
Kaaba. The structures will take on an architectural style that combines elements of Johor-Malay and Moorish architecture.
