Stulang Laut Beach, Johor Bahru

Stulang Laut Beach (GPS: 1.46951, 103.78163) is a waterfront area on the east side of Johor Bahru. It is along Jalan Sultan Ibrahim. The beach is named after Kampung Stulang Laut, a village along the coast. There is another settlement deeper inland called Kampung Stulang Darat.

At Stulang Laut is the Zon Johor Bahru. The Zon incorporates a ferry terminal with retail outlets. At the Zon Ferry Terminal, you can take ferries to Batam and Bintan in Indonesia.

A one-way trip to Batam costs RM69, to Bintan costs RM86 while to Tanjung Belungkor in Johor costs RM34. There is a RM8 seaport charge for international departures from the terminal. Visitors passing through the ferry terminal can also shop at the duty free shops as well as at the 5-level Zon Mall. The Zon Department Store has an area of 150,000 square feet offering a wide variety of merchandise as well as a supermarket. The Fun Zon is a dining and recreation area packed with food-and-beverage outlets for an evening of fun.

For people intending to overnight, the Regency Hotel is a 400-room business class hotel at the Zon Johor Bahru. Its faciliteis include swimming pool, gymnasium, Roman spa, business centre and club lounge, among other.
