My wife and I in our Executive Room, at The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru (15 September, 2016)
The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru is one of the most opulent hotels in the state capital of Johor. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying there during our recent visit to Johor Bahru.
We were on a trip exploring the sights in Johor, and arrived at the hotel after visiting Tanjung Piai. Upon arriving, we were warmly received by Mr Mohammad bin Abdul Rahim, the Assistant Director of Rooms. Checking in was smooth and then we were swiftly whisked up to the top floor of the hotel, to unwind at the Pacific Sky Lounge, an exclusive lounge reserved at the disposal of guests of the Suites and Executive Rooms.
The Pacific Sky Lounge offers stupendous views of Johor Bahru, all the way to Iskandar Puteri. There's a lot of fruits, pastries and hors d'œuvres available, but not wanting to spoil our dinner shortly afterwards, we only ate a little - though we wished we had more time to enjoy the Sky Lounge. While we were there, our host Miss Nadia Badrulhisham, the Marcomm Manager of The Puteri Pacific, came up to greet us.
After our brief visit to the Pacific Sky Lounge, we were brought to our room. It is an Executive Room, on a level just below the Pacific Sky Lounge. The room is beautifully furnished. There is even a welcome box of chocolate waiting for us.
We only had perhaps half an hour to enjoy the room, then we were taken on a room review tour by Miss Nadia. With most of the hotels I stay in, I would request for a room review tour, so that I can provide my readers a glimpse of the various rooms in the hotel. You can view the various rooms right here:
That evening, Miss Nadia hosted us at D'Coast Mediterranean Restaurant, which is the restaurant at the lobby level of the hotel. I had the oxtail soup, my wife the seafood pasta, while Miss Nadia ordered the barbecued chicken. We also enjoyed some desserts including the crème brûlée.
The next morning, we had our breakfast at the Pacific Sky Lounge, where we could sit back, and enjoy watching the sun rising over the city of Johor Bahru. It was a wonderful stay for us at The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru, and we wished we had the time to stay even longer there!

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
