Kota Tinggi Firefly Park (GPS: 1.72591, 103.91191) is a place to take recreational cruises in Kota Tinggi, Johor. It is located by the banks of Sungai Johor, off Jalan Kota Tinggi (Federal Route 3). This place only comes alive towards the evening, when you can buy tickets to board the river cruise to view fireflies. As the mangrove area along the river is a protected area, the fireflies have been able to breed and thrive without being harmed by development.

The jetty to take the rivercruise is in an open area. There is a seafood restaurant next to it called Wan Jia Xiang Restaurant. When I passed by the area on the way to Kota Tinggi town, the place was deserted, as I arrived there in the morning. To take the cruise, you have to go in the evening, when the fireflies come out.
