Church of Christ the King, Kulai (12 September, 2016)
Church of Christ the King (GPS: 1.6598, 103.6003) is a Catholic church in Kulai, Johor. The church dates to 1952. Before that, the Christians in Kulai were supported by the priests of the Church of Immaculate Conception of Johor Bahru, among them Father Thomas Chin and Father Noel Goh who looked after the Chinese Christians while Father Albert Fortier of the Paris Foreign Missions Society (M.E.P.) the Indian Christians.
The Church of Christ the King was established by Fazther Dugast, also of the Paris Foreign Missions Society, who had to relocate to Johor after the Communist government of China expelled him. Another priest, Father François Jego, also of MEP, was assigned to Kulai after serving three years at the Immaculate Conception in Johor Bahru.
