Galleria @ Kotaraya, Johor Bahru (14 September, 2016)
Galleria @ Kotaraya (GPS: 1.45932, 103.76314) is a shopping centre in downtown Johor Bahru. Formerly known as Plaza Kotaraya before its refurbishment, it is located along Jalan Trus, at the junction of Jalan Ungku Puan. Galleria is back-to-back with UTC Johor, and next to the Johor Ku Miau, the oldest Chinese temple in the city.
The anchor tenant is Kamdar Department Store, which specialises in low-priced goods for the budget shopper. The top floor of Galleria @ Kotaraya is a foodcourt where you can try the Malay food of Johor Bahru. The shopping centre gets quite crowded especially during the weekend when shoppers from Singapore come over to bargain hunt. Among the restaurants at Galleria include KFC and Pizza Hut.
