Johor Port is the first port in Johor. It is located in
Pasir Gudang, on the southwest part of Johor Bahru. The port was built by the Johor Port Authority in 1977, and managed by Johor Port Berhad. Since the port was privatised in 1995, Seaport Terminal (Johor) Sdn Bhd is the main shareholder of the port, owning a 51.74% share of it.
Johor Port has an annual capacity of 1 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), making it smaller than the
Port of Tanjung Pelepas, on the west side of Johor Bahru. It has 7 gantry cranes and 70,000 square meters of warehouse space. The bulk of cargo passing through Johor Port are edible oils and petroleum products.
