The Sultan Iskandar Power Plant is one of the two power stations in Johor Bahru. It is located by the Straits of Johor in Pasir Gudang. The power station was constructed from 1977 and began operations in 1980. It was officially opened by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Iskandar Shah, in September 1981.
