Pulai is a parliamentary constituency in Johor. It is an area that includes the small town of Kangkar Pulai, as well as residential estates such as Taman Sri Pulai, Taman Teratai, Taman Sri Pulai Perdana, Bandar Pulai Jaya, and so on.
Geographically, Pulai is named after Sungai Pulai, a major river in southern Johor. The area of Pulai is located at the headwater of the river, at the foot of the Gunung Pulai Recreational Forest. Until the last two decades, the Pulai area comprised mostly of plantation land covered with oil palm estates.
