Tanjung Balau (GPS: 1.61288, 104.25905) is a coastal town in Kota Tinggi District, Johor. The place about 5 km to the north of Desaru and Bandar Penawar. There is a fishing museum here, called Muzium Nelayan Tanjung Balau.

Tanjung Balau is noted for its beautiful seaside. The shoreline is rocky, with very interesting coastal rock formations. To help visitors enjoy the beauty of the coastline, a concrete walkway has been erected over the rocks. There is a couple of pavilions along the walkway for visitors to stop and enjoy the breeze.
