Alor Setar Railway Station (GPS: 6.11358, 100.36917) is the main railway station for Kedah. It is located at Kampung Tanjung Bendahara, on the south side of Alor Setar. The station was rebuilt in 2013 in anticipation of the KTM Electric Train Service, which became operational on 11 July, 2015.

The Alor Setar Railway Station is served by the KTM Intercity trains between the Gurun Railway Station in the south and Anak Bukit Railway Station in the north. For the KTM ETS service, it is between the Sungai Petani Railway Station in the south and Arau Railway Station in the north.
