Jambatan Tok Pasai (10 November, 2015)
Jambatan Tok Pasai is a major bridge in Kedah. It is the bridge that crosses
Sungai Kedah before the river empties into the
Straits of Malacca. The bridge carries State Route K143.
Jambatan Tok Pasai was named after an Islamic scholar who hailed from Pasai in Indonesia. Due to his effort in propagating Islam, he was hunted by the Dutch, causing him to flee the then Dutch East Indies, and arrived in
Kuala Kedah in 1844.
