Pulau Chupak is a small uninhabited island in the Langkawi Archipelago. It is located to the south of
Pulau Singa Besar, off the southeastern tip of Tanjung Genting.
The word chupak, now written cupak, refers to a traditional unit of measurement used for weighing rice. However, Pulau Chupak was named after ikan cupak, a variety of saltwater fish (
Caranx spp.) that includes the
gerepoh or
kerepuh and
pulas keladi.
