Pulau Duyong is a small island on the east coast of
Pulau Dayang Bunting, Langkawi. It has the same name as the
Pulau Duyong in
Kuala Terengganu, but that is all that they share.
Pulau Duyong is named after the
duyong, or sea cow (
Halicora dugong), a mammal of the manatee family which used to be commonly sighted all along the coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
