The tapai-making place at Kampung Terat Batu (22 July, 2015)
Kampung Terat Batu (GPS: 5.54743, 100.53651) is a Malay village in the county (mukim) of Padang Serai, in the district of Kulim, in southern Kedah.
There is a cottage industry supported by the state agricultural department for making tapai, a fermented food with a sweet and sour taste, which can be consumed directly, or used as ingredient in traditional recipes.
