Rekreasi Kampung Singkir Genting (GPS: 5.742528, 100.379167) is a small riverside recreational area in the village of Kampung Singkir Genting in Merbok, Kedah. It is located deep in the forested area.

Rekreasi Kampung Singkir Genting is reached via a long and bumpy kampung road. I went there with my wife. The road was so narrow, and without any signboard in sight, I half thought we were being led astray. We relied on our GPS to get there, and were thankful that it did get the location right after all.

How to go to Rekreasi Kampung Singkir Genting

If you are coming from Sungai Petani, head north on route K167 to Semeling, then continue on route K1 heading west to Merbok, then onwards to Singkir Darat. At Singkir Darat, look for the junction on the right (north side) heading into the village of Kampung Singkir Genting. Take this village road for about one and a half kilometer to reach the river on your left.
