Beris Lake Vineyard (GPS: 5.9318, 100.77142) is one of the few vineyards to be found in Malaysia. This hot-weather vineyard is located by the banks of Beris Lake in Sik, Kedah. From the visitor centre of Beris Lake Vineyard, you can enjoy scenic views of the lake. There is an alfresco cafe and souvenir shop at the entrance of the vineyard. Here, you can buy some refreshments or grape products.
The Beris Lake Vineyard is created for the benefit of visitors. When my wife and I were there, we saw busloads of tourists. Lucky for us we arrived a little earlier, before the big group arrived, so were able to buy the tickets and enter, without having to wait far in a long queue.
Beris Lake Vineyard is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Mondays to Fridays, and 9:00 am to 6:30 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The entrance fee is RM6 per adult and RM3 per child aged below 12.

From Beris Lake Vineyard visitor centre, you can catch a good view of the lake. There is also a children's playground for your kids to unwind after the long car trip. (8 August, 2015)
Then we enter the vineyard and saw the grapes hanging on the vines. (8 August, 2015)
This is how the grapevines look like. (8 August, 2015)
Saw some red grapes too but aren't very big bunches. Probably the big ones have been harvested. (8 August, 2015)
The green grapes are all over the place in big and small bunches. (8 August, 2015)
At the centre of the vineyard is a rest area with benches. But I found it to be very hot with no air conditioning. (8 August, 2015)

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
