Taman Jubli Perak, Sungai Petani (23 August, 2015)
Taman Jubli Perak (GPS: 5.64665, 100.48466) is a public park in Sungai Petani, Kedah. The park was created to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah, the present and 27th Sultan of Kedah. The park is bordered by Jalan Sungai Layar, Jalan Kolam Air, Jalan Lapangan Terbang and Jalan Pegawai.
Taman Jubli Perak has walking paths for people to go for strolls. In the middle of the park is a lake with bridges. Near Jalan Sungai Layar is a children's playground. On the side facing Jalan Lapangan Terbang is an aviary which appears a little worse for wear. I could see exotic birds flying and and of of the aviary. It is one of those places where poor maintenance of public amenities is glaringly visible.
Elsewhere in Taman Jubli Perak, I saw that the park was well tended. The grass is cut and there isn't any visible litter.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
