Hutan Lipur Ulu Paip (2 May, 2005)


Hutan Lipur Ulu Paip Recreational Forest (GPS: 5.39385, 100.66566) is a forest park in Karangan, near Kulim, Kedah.

As with most of the recreational forests in the country, Ulu Paip has a river flowing through it, punctuated by cataracts. While the waterfall here is not as high as the ones at other forest parks, such as Seri Perigi, for example, they create pools that are ideal for bathing.

How to go to Ulu Paip Recreational Forest

From the North-South Expressway (E1), take Exit 163 (Seberang Jaya Interchange) and continue east on the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (E15). At the end of the expressway, continue straight on to Federal Route 4 until Karangan, then turn right at the intersection (see street view below) in the direction to Bt. Puteh to State Route K185. Continue on K185 and look out for signage for Hutan Lipur Ulu Paip.
