Wat Machimmaram, Tumpat (30 April, 2017)
Wat Machimmaram (GPS: 6.18635, 102.10831) is one of the many Thai Buddhist temples in
Tumpat,
Kelantan. It is located along Route 134, between
Wat Phikulyai and
Wat Prachumthat Chanaram.
Wat Machimmaram is best known for its Buddha statue which bears Chinese elements in its design. The seated Buddha statue is 30 meters in height. It appears to be seated cross legged on a lotus throne. It was completed in 2001.
Wat Machimmaram is open daily from 9:00am in the morning until 5:00pm in the evening, and admission is free.
